"Using digital tools to reimagine a mythical Philippine monster, the artist Carlo Maghirang crafts the sculpture series “Ma-na-nang-gal” for the Lincoln Center in New York City.  Through this project, Maghirang explores themes of displacement and economic struggle, using modern techniques like 3D printing and AI to depict a hopeful vision of the future. His artwork serves as a poignant commentary on the realities faced by workers, migrants, and families affected by separation, while also offering a glimpse of optimism and reconnection." - Vogue Philippines
